Through the curatorial process, we attempt to extrapolate what makes his work outstanding: how does his active process of looking transform into graphic communications that are powerfully persuasive? HKDI × V54 Po Leung Kuk Young Artist in Residence

Eight young student artists from the Department of Communication Design have stayed in V54, and expressed their residence experience through their artworks in various formats. Even though the local residents treat it as a usual daily life, students found that Happy Valley has a kind of poetic aesthetics: from a morning light to a slice of collective memory. These eight young talents have tried to frame the treasure moments with their artistic sense.

‘Dream Homes: property sales brochures in Hong Kong 1970s–2000s’ is an exhibition that showcases a collection of printed artefacts and stories that illustrate how the Hong Kong dream has been manufactured in the last four decades. Supported by architect–collector Mr Alfred Ho, the exhibition displays valuable and original copies of property sales brochures for the public to understand more about the in-depth values of the Hong Kong dream.
